Description

Tweaks for Twitter is a web browser extension that improves the user interface of twitter.com in many ways. Tweaks works in Safari, Google Chrome, and any other Chromium-based web browser, such as Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Vivaldi. (Chrome and Chromium browsers require enabling "Developer mode" in the Extensions window.)

Tweaks for Twitter is made by indie developer Jeff Johnson. If you need support, please email me at [email protected] or read the support site at https://underpassapp.com/tweaks/support.html

Tweaks makes Twitter better in your web browser by removing these annoying elements:
• Promoted tweets
• Messages drawer
• Trends
• Who to follow
• Topics to follow
• Keyboard shortcuts
• Hover cards
• What's happening?
• This Tweet is unavailable.
• Explore

If your Twitter account has no switch to select "Latest Tweets" at the top of your timeline, Tweaks forces the missing switch to appear!

Tweaks also unsticks the title at the top of the Twitter window, making it scrollable.

Tweaks replaces shortened https://t.co/ URLs in tweet links with the real unshortened URLs, allowing you to bypass Twitter's click tracker. (This feature does not work for Twitter cards or user profiles.)

Tweaks has options to disable the new Twitter "Chirp" font and to swap the colors of the Follow and Following buttons.

Tweaks also has an option to automatically expand "Show replies" in conversations! (This currently works only with English, German, and Spanish display languages on Twitter.)

What's New in Version 6.0

• New preference to automatically expand "Show replies"!
(This currently works only with English, German, and Spanish display languages on Twitter.)

• Fixed SFErrorDomain error 1 with the "Enable in Safari" command.
• Fixed a strange issue where the "Hide Messages drawer" preference prevented autoplay of gifs and videos.
• On the launch screen, the "Open Support Website" link now opens after touching instead of immediately on touching.
• Under the "Hide non-tweets in timeline" preference, removed the "Don't hide Show more replies" sub-preference. Tweaks now won't hide "Show more replies", because that would make the conversation look wrong.
