Immortal Rogue is AppSpy's best iPhone and iPad game of February 2019

February is over and done with. Be honest, who saw that one coming? But just because the month has ended, doesn't mean we can't take a look back at one of the games that made the past 28 days a little more bearable. And this month there could really only be one game worth a peek - Immortal Rogue.

It's a game that sees you playing as a Vampire, swooshing around a series of top-down levels killing everything that moves, grabbing loot, and then retreating to your vampiric sanctuary for about a hundred years. A hundred years of game time, obviously, not real time.

The game's a roguelike, so dying in a run will setback most of your progress. There are things that roll over though, thanks to the thralls you can unlock while you play. Instead of killing targets you can bite them and turn them to your cause. Once you've given them enough blood, they'll help you out.

That helping comes in the form of waiting around for you with a few treats when you start a new game. You'll get gold, better weapons, a choice of armour, and more. Not only does it make the game more exciting, it keeps it fresh too, letting you experiment with your loadout more easily.

It looks great too - almost like a reimagined 16bit game from the Mega Drive era. And you can play it with one hand, which makes it pretty much perfect for those mobile play sessions when you want to get a quick slice of action in. And believe you us, Immortal Rogue is chock full of action.

This is a difficult, engaging, and incredibly entertaining mix of genres and ideas, and it's a worthy recipient of our game of the month recognition. If you agree, you can click here to grab the game from the App Store right away. If you disagree, be sure to let us know why in the comments section.
