iPhone 6: good news for games?

Now that the dust has settled on Apple's keynote, it's time to take stock.

We've all heard the impressive GPU stats on the iPhone 6, and gazed longingly at the massive 1920 x 1080 screen on the iPhone 6 Plus - perfect for playing the next wave of A8-powered games.

But are there any downsides to Apple's decision to keep fragmenting its hardware releases? Have developers started to lose faith in the platform?
