CD Projekt has announced the upcoming The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be releasing later this month. The game is expected to launch on iOS and Android devices on 21st July.

Developed by Spokko, The Witcher: Monster Slayer takes you through the dark fantasy world based on the popular The Witcher book and video game series. It’s set long before Geralt of Rivia made a name for himself as a deadly monster hunter and instead puts you in that role.

The land is filled with dangerous, bloodthirsty monsters and it’s up to you to keep the roads safe for anyone freely travelling the Continent. Aside from tracking down monsters using real-time weather conditions, you will also embark on quests by accepting contracts from NPCs who need help.

You must prepare yourself with the best equipment for the job, of course, with potions and gear available to strengthen yourself as you battle these great beasts.

As someone who is a fan of The Witcher and was also on the initial Pokémon Go hype five years ago, this new augmented reality game looks to be quite the treat for those who enjoy those types of games.

Android users can now preregister their interest in the game from the Google Play store, but it's not available for iOS yet. If you sign up before launch, you’ll receive the Kaer Morhen Steel Sword when the game releases on 21st July. You will find this powerful weapon in your inventory as soon as your adventure begins, and it will enable you to score 10% more experience points with every successful kill.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be available on the Google Play for Android store and the iOS App Store on 21st July. Until then, you can also keep up with the game’s development updates from the official website.
