Sky: Children of the Light launches crossover event with The Little Prince

thatgamecompany has released a seasonal event for the mobile adventure game Sky: Children of the Light featuring a crossover with The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), from the French children’s book of the same name. It is the first crossover event for the game and is available to play now on iOS and Android.

This new event is called The Season of The Little Prince, bringing in the titular character to interact with players as thatgamecompany collaborates closely with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s estate to develop content for Sky based on this novel.

“Le Petit Prince was one of the strongest inspirations to me and the team during the early development of Sky,” says Jenova Chen from thatgamecompany. “There are so many layers of depth about childhood, love and friendship in this book, even when we revisited it for this season we were discovering new things.”

The Season of the Little Prince is available to play for the next eleven weeks. It introduces a new area called Starlight Desert with an all-new storyline. As the season goes on, you’ll be tasked with exploring this location with the eponymous hero by your side as you learn more about his journey.

Sky: Children of the Light reached over 100 million downloads earlier this year since it originally launched on iOS two years ago. It then launched on Nintendo Switch last week alongside cross-play functionality to allow players from different platforms to play with each other.

If you want to check out the new Season of the Little Prince, you can download Sky: Children of the Light from the iOS App Store or the Google Play for Android store. The game itself is free to play with in-app purchases, including The Season of the Little Prince expansion that can be purchased with the Adventure Season Pass for £9.99.
