It’s going to be a good month for players of Disney Dreamlight Valley as May 1st brings not one, not three, but two massive updates. Free players can enjoy Thrills and Frills that come with a new villager, while expansion pass holders can enter The Spark of Imagination to face the catalyst of the Disney dynasty.

The free update brings quite a surprising new villager, purely because I am shocked she isn’t already in the game. Daisy Duck will be leading players on a journey of fashion in her Friendship Quest line, which will result in the opening of a new Boutique. And what’s more, you get to run the place.

Once the store opens its doors, you can craft your own custom designs made with Touch of Magic, get some new customizable items, and even visit friends' shops to buy their creations. Or, bully them into purchasing yours. Speaking of friends, the multiplayer feature has got a few upgrades, including being able to take selfies with friends, or are they then called usies? Semantics aside, you can now also take on activities such as fishing, mining, and crafting together.

If you don’t mind paying the mouse for more magic, A Rift in Time Act 2 will also be available to explore. The Spark of Imagination will take you to Eternity Isle, alongside a character who walked so Micky could run. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit will be encountered in a new secret temple, and lead payers on a new quest line with the likes of EVE, Rapunzel, and Gaston.

To celebrate Disney Parks, this season’s Star Path will allow you to partake in attractions such as the Alien Swirling Saucers and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. There are also new clothes and Dream Styles for Disney leading ladies Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse. Finally, the Premium Shop will receive further park attractions and special clothing items.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available to download through the Apple Arcade, which costs $4.99 a month but includes over 200 games to play.
