In the past you could have made a lot of arguments for why any of the battle royales on mobile are the best in the genre, however, PUBG Mobile's latest update has just blown them all out of the water. That is because version 3.2 has released the Mecha Fusion mode, complete with giant freakin' robots.

Mecha Fusion is available across the Erangel, Livik, and Miramar maps, and contains three mechs to pick from; Levitron, Strider, and Armamech. Levitron can switch between a speed form, and a magnetic one that allows them to throw characters, whereas the Strider has a boosted jump and is loaded with missiles.

Combine them both, and you will get the Armamech, a four-seater equipped with dual weapons and has the skills of both its components. This beast can be summoned at Steel Ark, a ship that will appear periodically on maps. If you want to try the Levitron or Strider, they can also be found on the Arl, or at the Assembly Bases scattered across the battlefield.

For those on foot, there are a few new items to pick up. If you want some verticality, grab the Jeypack for its speed boost and hovering ability. The Personal AED lets you self-revive when knocked out, and the Respawn Beacon will immediately respawn teammates. Finally, you can equip the Magnet Gun, and launch things at people all day long.

World of Wonder is also benefiting from the Mecha revolution, along with gaining the Target Dummy and Soccer Ball objects. There is a multitude of new modes including a 1v1 mech battle, or on the other end of the scale, 8v8 Mecha Mayhem. Version 3.2 is also bringing a host of Home features and fixes, including Elegant Ancient Capital-themed items. Finally, Metro Royale introduces the new enemy Strider, new collectables, and a few ease of living features like repairing all items with one tap.
