To fill the void that E3 left, Geogg Keighley hosted the Summer Game Fest recently, and it was certainly a thing. As of right now, Keighley’s own Twix poll has the show at 40% Grade D and below, which is a whole other story altogether. Hoyoverse took part, and dropped a new trailer for Honkai: Star Rail, as well as a reveal rather in keeping with the whole show reception, at least in my opinion.

Star Rail dropped a new trailer for this show, full of the reunion that a lot of fans were waiting for. Some of the trailer relies on knowledge of some spoiler-y reveals so bear that in mind. What we can say is that version 2.3, due June 19th, is the finale of the Penacony story. It centres around one question; Why do people choose to sleep?

Teaming up with a familiar face, the Trailblazer dons their flashy new hat and delves deep into the realm of dreams, where everything is possible. Unfortunately, all good things must end, and soon we will awaken from the dream of Penacony and continue our adventures. Luckily, there appears to be a new interstellar odyssey on the horizon to be hyped about.

One of the biggest surprises came in the form of a new March 7th form, and I mean that as in both the good and bad kind. She is sporting a new Xianzhou-style outfit, having learnt swordplay from Yunli and Yanqing, and it does look like a pretty cool design, but there is a problem.

This new form is a Path of the Hunt of the Imaginary type, which again is interesting, but the big problem comes when we look at her rarity; it’s a four-star. When Dan Heng got his Inhibitor Lunae form, that was a five-star. Why bother unlocking a new version of March 7th that is also just a four-star? It is a massive letdown after such a long wait.

Honkai: Star Rail is available from the App Store and Google Play.
