Halloween has come early as Capcom announces the latest Resident Evil titles to shuffle their way onto iOS. We are going backwards, as Resident Evil 7 Biohazard has a release date of July 2nd, and there is also confirmation that Resident Evil 2 is in development.

Even though it may be off in the distance, Resident Evil 2 coming to iOS is very exciting. It is one of the definitive PS1 games, and the remake, which is the version being ported, is excellent. With Resident Evil 4 already on iPhone, we can continue playing the Leon Kennedy saga on the go.

To help with mobile controls, Resident Evil 7 biohazard will include a new Auto Fire feature. Simply aim at an enemy for a set amount of time and you will start shooting. Interesting in theory for accessibility, but I can see this going two ways. One, it takes too long to fire and you get slapped, or two, it will eat through your ammo. It will be good to see if either is the case.

If you are into extra DLC and story then Biohazard on iPhone definitely has you covered. To begin with, the main game and the Not A Hero DLC, starring Chris Redfield, will be released as a bundle. Then, if you want a little more, you can take a punt on the Gold Edition which has a plethora of extras including End of Zoe, the 5-Coin Set, and Madhouse difficulty mode.

Now for the usual iPhone Triple-A disclaimer. To play these games you will need either an iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max, or an iPad with an M-series or later chip. If you meet these conditions and want some undead slaying action in the meantime, check out Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village.
