Control a super-powered, dancing Abraham Lincoln in Second Chance Heroes

Have you ever looked at a game and thought that the designers just put every crazy idea they had in a single barmy projecy and hoped that it would work? Rocket City Studios seem to have done just that with their new free-to-play title Second Chance Heroes.

We can imagine the design meeting now. The lead designer probably led with: "Guys - we should make a  Diablo style game with looting," before a few eager new team members piped up with: "Oh! It should have historical figures, and Abraham Lincoln should hurl tornadoes."  All before an intern chipped in with: "Dancing! There should be combat dancing!"

The result is a feature list that reads like a fever dream, but which definitely makes us curious to try this twin-stick dungeon crawler.

Taking control of historical clones you must battle to save the world from zombies, werewolves, and (according to the description) sentient cheeseburgers.

You will be able to unlock characters such as Nikola Tesla, Genghis Khan, and Joan of Arc to join Abe on his mission. Once obtained, you can choose any two of these characters to take into the fray utilising the game's tag-team mode.

The addition of cooperative multiplayer also allows you to join up with friends to fight through locations such as a mall, a long-lost kingdom of Hobos, and a secret government bunker.

As it is a free-to-play game, Second Chance Heroes allows you to purchase coins to speed up the unlock process. Coins come in a range of bundles starting at £1.99 / $2.99 for 300, right up to £69.99 / $99.99 for 15,000, with characters costing between 120 and 560 coins.

Second Chance Heroes is free to download from the App Store, and mad enough warrant a quick look.
