The match three marble popper is a genre with a lot of entries and not much innovation. Sparkle, the latest marble popper entry isn't exactly innovative either, but it blends a couple different ideas together and presents them very well. You travel through Cranberry Woods clearing strings of marbles, exploring the woods, and earning amulets which grant you powers.

Control is all tap based. You tap on the screen where you want the marble to shoot and if you pop a marble into two or more of the same colour they will dissapear, and if you are lucky, start a chain. Large chains will leave powerups that can help clear more marbles. This game contains some interesting ones, starting out with simple additions like accuracy aids all the way to moon craters destroying most of the board.

The game is bright and colourful, sporting some nice power up, and lighting effects. The sound is what you'd expect in a marble popper, but the music tracks are very memorable and really add to the gameplay experience. Alongside the main gamemode with a host of secrets and unlockables, there are challenges, and a survival mode as well.

It's been a while since we've seen a new marble popper, and Sparkle is a great addition to the genre. The multiple game modes, the amulets and the crazy powerups should keep you playing. If you love marble poppers, you can't go wrong with this title.
