PROS

  • Colorful, easy to read reels
  • Bright music.

CONS

  • No features
  • Auto-play prevents gambling options.

VERDICT

It'd be nice to see a collection of slot machine games included in one package; this would certainly be more appealing to casual audiences. As it is, Mega Hearts 2 is a fun slot machine game, but not for the average iPhone user.

Mega Hearts 2 Slots by Pokie Magic may be a bit cutesy as a slot machine goes, but it's fun, visually bright and clear and features a surprisingly generous set of special features.

Control is fairly limited, using simple buttons to control the entire game. It's possible to even allow the game to play independent of the player by using the "autoplay" feature, though that prevents players from accessing the gamble or roulette options available in Pokie Magic games. Roulette is controlled by selecting chips that represent a percent of your winnings and gambling them, while Gamble is a simple 50/50 game of chance.

The graphics are bright and the special effects cleverly shift between screens as you play. Different music is played depending on the win you encounter and matches the bright cutesy atmosphere of the game. The feature mode is activated when 3 or more bears appear, activating free play modes and a chance at a match-two game for more bonuses.

Like other slot games on the iPhone, there's little appeal to most gamers, though this is an especially fun slot game to try. Definitely not a bad game for slot fans, though still too sparsely featured for mass appeal.
