App Wrap Up (Week Ending 19th April, 2013)

By , on April 19, 2013

Hey hey dear readers, and welcome to the App Wrap Up; your one stop shop for unique iOS game trailers. You'll have to excuse me if i'm a little erratic today. I completed Bioshock Infinite this morning, so my mind is still mulling over what transpired there. Still, here I am with a few trailers of games that might have fallen under the radar for your enjoyment. Let us take a look!

Obviously for a younger audience, this competitive match-3 game has charming presentation, and looks like a lot of fun to play, especially against another person.

First Person Tennis (Michele Laurello)

I imagine there's likely a reason that we haven't seen too many first person tennis games out there, and the depth perception required to hit the ball might be chief among them. Still, this looks serviceable, and a new perspective on a sport that lends itself quite well to gaming may be at least novel.

We don't usually cover quiz games here at Appspy. I don't know whether it's the stop motion animation in the trailer, or the whimsical look of all the questions, but I could see an enjoyable time had with this, at least for a little while.

CUBD (Tom Evans / acatcalledfrank)

A match-3 game based on twisting around a rubix cube. Very ingenious. The presentation is a bit low-fi, but a good idea like this can bring you a long way.

And that's it for another week of the App Wrap Up. As always, if you've tried any of these games or you end up trying them based on what you saw here, let us know what you think in the comments, and till next week, happy gaming all!
