Description

Displays all guitar chords on frets, from C through B including sharps/flats. adjusts for major and minor chords. Superimposes the location of 4ths, 5ths, 6ths, and 7ths as required.

Useful for those learning chords on the guitar or for reference. Was intended for use to identify chords on a guitar, to train a keyboard player who needs to accompany the guitarist.

What's New in Version 1.3

4th, 5th and 6th incidentals have been removed to make room for enhanced training functions.

The trainer is now targeted for the beginner on the guitar. The user can select chords as before, including minors and sevenths, and the trainer displays the string positions to be fingered (as before).

The "Chord" button now animates the strings and plays the string sounds to show what the chord should play and sound like. There are two options, to strum or to pick the strings. The music symbol also acts as a toggle, giving option of a clean guitar sound or a distorted electric guitar sound for the strings.

The new "sequence" button is used in connection with 16 chord placements at the foot of the screen. Clicking on these placements selects the current chord into each slot. Working from top left to bottom right, a sequence of chords can be built up to form part of a song. The user can then begin the "sequence" and the chords are played in order, sounding the strings and animating the strings in real time, allowing the novice guitarist to try to play along and practice songs.
