Kabam Games has added a new content update to its comic book fighting game Marvel Contest of Champions on iOS and Android devices.
For the X-Men fans out there, players can now play as mutants Jubilee and Stryfe, who each come with their own attacks and special abilities. As always, a motion comic has also been released.
The mutant lands of Krakoa are attacked by a powerful unseen force, and Cable sets out to track down the attacker by teaming up with a young mutant. You can watch the motion comic below, which details some of the backstory behind this new story update as well be introduced to Jubilee and Stryfe, which are set to be added to Marvel Contest of Champions later this month.
As for the characters, Jubilee grew up wealthy and privileged, before an assassination orphaned her and manifested her mutant abilities. As a result, she was taken in by the X-Men and became a student under Charles Xavier. Stryfe, on the other hand, was kidnapped by Apocalypse from a young age and later abandoned. Stryfe grew up alone, angry by this event in his life, and so he now seeks vengeance against anyone who wronged him.
Marvel Contest of Champions is Kabam Games’ fighter which pits popular characters from the Marvel Comics franchise against each other. New characters are added each month, with the updates usually accompanied by smaller improvements and bug fixes too, as well motion comics to introduce the new story events.
