It is time to duel as Konami has announced a new update for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel that stacks the deck with tons of new content including new events, selection packs and more

The Duelist Cup will allow players to determine who is the unofficial King of Games, a broad title earned by being successful in one type of game. Held in two stages, this multiplayer event is available now and offers a lot of rewards. In the first stage, there are a certain number of duels that must be played and won, when that threshold is passed then qualification is gained for the second stage, starting August 18th.

In the second stage of the Duelist Cup, players must duel and win as much as possible to earn DP and raise their position. When the event concludes on August 21st, all participants will earn rewards based on their final position, with the duelist that claimed the most DP becoming champion of the Duelist Cup.

For the players who just want to play a few games without impacting their rank, Konami has added the new Casual Match Mode, which does what it says on the tin. Duelists can throw cards around to their heart's content without having to worry about affecting their rank or character level. The perfect way to test new strategies, or try to finally summon Exodia in a match.

This new update also adds with it the new Solo Mode Gate The Invincible Beetroopers, as well as the new selection pack Invincible Raid. These are based around the Beetrooper Scout Buggy monsters, who are making their Master Duel debut, so anyone who has the desire to trade in their Blue Eyes deck and harness their inner-Weevil with bugs is well catered for.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play.
