Nexon America has revealed a month of events for its free-to-play mobile MMORPG, MapleStory M, as well as a brand-new character class to combat them with. The events have already begun and will stretch until the end of September, bringing a plethora of goodies for players.

The name class comes with a name that really says all that needs saying. The Blaster is a member of the Resistance, a group that combats the Black Wings who are trying to revive the tyrannical Black Mage. Whoever the target, the Blaster does one thing and one thing well, they blast things, relying mainly on their Strength stat to effectively wield two unique heavy weapons dealing explosive damage. By dealing damage with their main Arm Cannon, Blaster will fill up a Dynamo Gauge which when full will fire out a massively damaging, well, blast. They do what they say on the tin.

To celebrate this new class, Maplestory M is having a bumper month with events suited to supercharging any character. Until 28th September, the On-Time event will reward limited-time pets and an auto-battle character ticket to anyone that logs in. The Mega Burning Event and the Growth Mission run together until 18th October and are perfect for the new Blaster. One newly created character per world will be able to register as a Burning character and receive an additional two levels per level up, and every Blaster will receive additional rewards upon levelling up and completing missions.

Blasters won’t get all the fun though, as the Grow with Blaster and Checky’s Extreme Part-Time Job! Event offers some more general rewards. Players will be able to nominate a character to gain EXP and rewards each time a Blaster levels up, which with the other events will be a lot. Finally, any characters will be able to hunt monsters to gain ingredients and play mini-games to earn rewards such as auto-battle charge tickets and exalt stones.

MapleStory M is available to download now on the App Store and Google Play.
