Genshin Impact is preparing to launch its latest update, the 4.5 version, Blades Weaving Betwixt Brocade, which is stuffed full of content. A new five-star, Wish mechanic, and a seasonal event will all be available to get your hands on one.

Alchemical Ascension will see Lisa draft the Travelers into managing an alchemical potion shop, with the full range of production, finding ingredients, and sale being under players' control. Rack up that profit to unlock new operational facilities, and you might even get your hands on an exclusive four-star polearm, Dialogues of the Desert Sages. Feline fanatics can also play with cats in the Feline Fortress Furrdyssey, or embrace your inner-pirate with the cannon-firing Rolling Crossfire event.

The famous Inazuma fashion designer, Chiroi, will be making their playable debut as a five-star Geo dual sword wielder, already a must-have. She is accompanied in battle by her automation doll Tamoto to help with damage, and even outside of battle, she will increase your movement speed by 10% if someone is in a non-default outfit or wind glider. She will be available to recruit alongside Araktaki Itto in phase one, followed by Neuvillette and Kaedehara Kazuha.

More interestingly, there is a new Wish called Chronicled Wish, which will pick from a pool of five-star characters who have had at least three event banners and haven’t been available for a while, as well as more than ten five-star weapons. Players can chart a course to whoever or whatever they like and will be guaranteed it on their second five-star pull.

What’s better, if you pick a character, you will only pull characters, and vice versa with weapons, you will only get weapons. The first pass will feature Albedo, Eula,
Mona, Klee, Diluc, and Jean, as well as weapons like Wolf’s Gravestone and Hunter’s Path. There is not much news on if or when it will rotate, but it's a fantastic way to get those missing characters without waiting.

Finally, new players will be getting a guiding hand through the Training Guide, a helping selection of hints and tips for how to navigate the first few hours of the game. Things such as learning how to ascend weapons and how to find the materials will all be covered, to get you up to full strength as soon as possible.

Genshin Impact is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with Version 4.5 launching on March 13th.
