Pokemon Trading Card Game heads to iPad, AppSpy team expecting Hell to freeze over any time now

Josh Wittenkeller - an extremely likeable chap who talks about Pokemon on The Internet - tweeted a very interesting picture from The Pokemon World Championship in Washington DC this weekend. As you can see in that link (and the pic below), it's the Pokemon Trading Card Game running on an iPad, the first time the game has been available on a non-Nintendo portable device. According to various poke-sources, it appears to be a version of the Windows and Mac game Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, but running on a tablet. So why's this exciting? I run through them briefly in my hands-on video below, as well as showing you a match in motion.…

The set up stage sees you laying terrain down across four lanes. Th…

Cartoon Network transports Card Wars - Adventure Time from the Land of Ooo to the App Store

Card Wars is a card game that was created for Cartoon Network's cult-TV show Adventure Time. Now, you can play that game yourself on your iPhone and iPad From the very beginning you will be faced with tactical decisions. Every character has their own unique ability that affect the course of matches. Your character, combined with your choice of deck, will dramatically change your tactical options.. Once into the action, you must lay down four lanes. These will dictate which card can be played in each path. Some of your cards are only playable in swamps, while others can only be placed in cornfields. You also have to manage magic (a resource that limits actions per turn), which al…
