Code Giveaway! - Let's Create! Pottery

You might be wondering, 'Andrew, why are you plugging what seems to be an educational toy about pottery?' Well, it's because it happens to be a game I held in very high regard over two years ago when it first launched on the App Store and to this day it remains a wonderful example of how the iPhone's accurate touch-screen interface was able to open up new and exciting pathways for developers to explore. Mastering the art of crafting various pots, plates, and cups (as well as your own free-form creations) isn't easy, but then again clay isn't the easiest medium to learn how to work with even in real life. In order to earn new paints and patterns for your works you'll need to craft commissio…

Shoot The Zombirds Review

From creating pottery, to knocking down cans and stopping waves of red and blue jelly monsters, Infinite Dreams easily lives up to their name as they approach a wide variety of games and styles of play from casual to hardcore. Shoot The Zombirds acts as the nightmarish sequel to last year's Shoot The Birds and while much of the basic gameplay is in tact, small tweaks keep the game fresh and place an emphasis on careful, precise shots. In particular, Pumpkin Boy packs far fewer arrows…

Gorgeous Tower Defence Title Jelly Defense Reduced To 99c

Infinite Dreams's beautiful-looking tower defence title Jelly Defense is currently available from the App Store for a mere 99c - down from its usual price of $2.99. Taking charge of the Jelly forces, you have to repel invading armies by strategically placing and upgrading towers. Jelly Defense stands out in a crowded field partly because of the colour-coded towers which add an extra layer of strategic planning to proceedings. And partly because it's absolutely lovely to look at. Oh, and it doesn't play badly, either - we gave it a 4/5 in our review. The game will likely revert to its full price sometime tomorrow, so if you're looking for some wibbly-wobbly strategy fun, then dash to the…

Jelly Defense Review

It seems odd that despite having other games under their belt, the one thing that stands out in my mind from Infinite Dreams is 'Let's Create! Pottery'. It's strange because Pottery is less of a game and more of a toy with some objectives, but more importantly because their Jelly series of mini-games has finally culminated in the recent release of Jelly Defense on the App Store. What's immediately striking about Jelly Defense is the simple, yet perfectly zany aesthetic that uses littl…

Let's create! Pottery Review

Playing 'Let's create! Pottery' was an interesting lesson for me as a gamer, or more specifically a bit of a reminder to not judge a book (or game in this case) by its cover. While the ultimate aim of this not-quite-a-game title from Infinite Dreams is to merely craft pottery, the journey from hobbyist to artist is a surprisingly fun and challenging experience to follow. Much like the creation of real pottery there are several stages to work through. At first you'll be presented with…
